As mentioned in the General Information page, you can sign up for roles as they become available. You won't be stuck on the same role forever. As for the March Break program, here are some of the activities that will be happening so you can get a feel of what is going on.

DIY Giant Marble Run
10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Let your imagination run free. Create a path for your marble to travel using funnels, pulleys and tubes through the Museum’s giant marble run.Short Movies—Watch How It’s Made

Ever wonder how paper or steel is recycled, or how chain-link fencing is knit together? Watch these fun short films from the National Film Board to uncover the answers.Big Board Game
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Take part in the Museum’s giant board game—where you are the life-sized playing piece. Test your knowledge of inventions and machine.K’nex Creation Galore
March 10
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Celebrate National Engineering Month by assembling a structure
using K’nex, the popular construction toy. Participation prizes are
awarded throughout the day. This activity is offered in partnership with
the Professional Engineers of Ontario—Ottawa ChapterSimple Machines Scavenger Hunt
Search for simple machines among the Museum’s exhibitions. Pick up a scavenger hunt question sheet at the INFO desk, and discover the answers as you explore the Museum.Storytelling: Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site
March 2 and 3, and March 9 to 17
1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
After a hard day of work, it’s time for the heavy machinery to
rest. Say good night to the truck, the cement mixer, the digger, and to
all the other machinery sleeping on the construction site. Incredible Towers

Build tall towers and strong bridges using Kapla® blocks while learning about the forces that keep them standing.Rubik’s Cube Challenge
March 13 to 15
9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Solving a Rubik’s cube is not easy. Can you imagine doing it
quickly, or blindfolded? Join youth from the Club de Cube de L’Escale
who do just that, and learn some of their tricks. Fun for all ages!Tactical Unit Robots

9:30 a.m. to noon
Meet members of the Ottawa Police Service and their ROVs: Remotely
Operated Vehicles. Find out how these amazing machines help police
perform dangerous operations.Craft Corner: Robot Workshop
March 2 and 3, 9 and 10, and 12 to 15
10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Create a funny looking robot figurine out of cardboard and recycled
materials. Registration is required. To reserve a crafting time, please
take a ticket from the board at the activity’s location. Return at your
